Tax Procedures
If the exported goods are taxable goods, the export tax must be paid before delivery to the carriers. The export tax is calculated on the basis of the export reference price which is fixed by the Minister of Commerce in the form of a decree of the Minister of Commerce and valid for a certain period of time taking into account review of technical ministers and other related associations.

V-Legal Document
What is V-Legal Document?
V-legal is legal wood license document from Indonesia as FLEGHT license for timber to EU. Companies that comply with the Timber Legality Assurance System (SVLK) must attach V-Legal documents to the shipper for export. The function of the V-Legal document is to state that the wood products being shipped are legal and meet the standards and requirements set out in Indonesian regulations.
Type of V-Legal
There are 4 types of V-Legal: Basic, Furniture, Handicrafts and Kitchen Tools & Frame.
V-Legal Basic
Mandatory export from Indonesia for decking, flooring, doors, window frames, wooden houses, gazebos and bungalows.
V-Legal Furniture
Mandatory export from Indonesia for all or partially furniture made of wood.
V-Legal Handicraft
Not mandatory to export from Indonesia but may be to import to other countries for all or part of the wooden crafts.
V-Legal Kitchen and Frame
Not mandatory to export from Indonesia but may be to import to other countries for all or part of the wooden crafts.

Stone export from Indonesia is subject to 2 separate licenses:
- Licence LHI : common stone objects and petrified wood statues
- Licence LS : granite, marble and onyx items, all pebbles, all petrified wood items (except statues).
KESWAN License
Mandatory to export from Indonesia for decoration, genuine leather fixtures, animal bones or teeth, bird feathers.
Plant quarantine requirements for the export of plants and plant products
- Phytosanitary certificate (PC) issued by the Agricultural Quarantine Agency.
- Issued from a designated landfill site.
- Declared and submitted to the plant quarantine officer at the point of discharge for plant quarantine measures.
Additional liability
- Export permit from the Minister of Agriculture, for plant seeds.
- Domestic transport of plants and animals (SATS-DN).
- Treatment certificate or fumigation certificate (if required by destination country).
- Packaging declaration.
- Cargo Manifest/Invoice/Bill of Lading (B/L)/Air Waybill (AWB).
